Step-by-Step Guide to Mounting Your Samsung Frame TV

1. Choose the Perfect Spot

Decide where you want to mount your Samsung Frame TV. Consider the viewing angle, lighting conditions, and proximity to power outlets. The frame TV comes with a special power and data cable that connects to a receiver box called the “One Connect Box”. The cable is very thin and can be concealed behind the wall, or in a surface mounted cable raceway for a nice clean look. The One Connect Box can also be hidden behind the TV using an in wall media box. When deciding where to mount your Frame TV, you must consider where you can store this box and how that will affect the look of your new Frame TV.

Step 2: Find the Studs

Using a stud finder, locate the studs in the wall where you plan to mount your TV. Mark the stud locations with a pencil. Mounting on studs is essential for ensuring your TV is securely attached to the wall. Unfortunately, the design of the Frame TV mount does not always allow for mounting into studs. If mounting to the studs is not an option, you can use toggle bolts into drywall, but this method is not recommended. There is an aftermarket mount for the Frame TV that can fix this issue.

Step 3: Measure and Mark

Measure the height at which you want to mount the TV and mark it on the wall. Use a level to draw a straight line where the top edge of the wall mount will be. This ensures your TV will be perfectly horizontal. Additionally, the Frame TV mount has a self leveling feature just in case you are a little off when securing the mount to the wall. You can either use the paper template included with the TV, or you can simply measure the distance between brackets with a tape measure. If using the included template, you’ll want to tape the two sides of the template together. You’ll see markings on the template corresponding to the size of the TV.

Step 4: Attach the Wall Mount

The Samsung Frame TV comes with a No-Gap Wall Mount designed for a flush installation. Align the mount with the stud marks and the level line you drew. Drill pilot holes, then use the provided screws to attach the mount securely to the wall. If using toggle bolts in drywall instead of attaching the mount to studs, you’ll want to drill a ½” hole into the drywall, secure the toggle bolts into place, then insert and tighten the screws until the mounts are securely fastened to the drywall. Be careful not to over tighten toggle bolts when using them with drywall.

Step 5: Prepare the TV

Attach the mounting brackets to the back of your Samsung Frame TV. These brackets will connect with the wall mount. Make sure all connections are tight and secure. You’ll notice that the two mounting brackets are labeled “R” and “L” for the right and left side of the TV. It’s important that these brackets are on the right side of the TV.

Step 6: Mount the TV

With the help of a friend, lift the TV and align the brackets with the wall mount. The brackets attached to the back of the TV have a metal hinge that pulls away from the bracket. This hinge is what will slide on top of the wall brackets. Once the TV is on the wall bracket, you will push the TV flush with the wall and those metal hinges will lay flat against the TV. Once you’ve carefully hung the TV on the mount, ensure it clicks into place. Double-check that the TV is level.

Step 7: Connect Cables

The Samsung Frame TV uses a One Connect Box for all cable connections, reducing clutter. Run the cables through the wall or use a surface mounted cable raceway or other cable management solutions to keep them out of sight. Connect the One Connect Box to the TV and plug in all necessary cables.

Step 8: Final Adjustments

Once the TV is mounted and connected, make any final adjustments to ensure it is perfectly level and positioned correctly. Turn on the TV and test the connections.
